Although we didn?t review every single game in March, the ones we did all received high marks. Not counting the Mass Effect 3: From Ashes DLC, the lowest score we handed out was a 7. With that said, here are the March 2012 Game of the Month Awards.

Playstation Vita Game of the Month:
Unit 13 (Review)
Runner-Up: Motorstorm RC (Review)
Although Motorstorm RC may be free for Playstation Vita owners, Unit 13 takes the award this month for the fun third-person shooting action and the great mission based structure.

Nintendo 3DS Game of the Month:
Kid Icarus: Uprising (Review)
Runner-Up: Crush 3D (Review)
Like we said in the review, Kid Icarus: Uprising is a great game, marred by tough controls. While it won?t take home our 3DS Game of the Year award at the end of 2012, it easily beat out Crush 3D for the best 3DS Game of the Month in March.

PSN/XBLA Game of the Month:
Journey (Review)
Runner-Up: Sine Mora (Review)
This was a very easy choice. Journey earned our first perfect score of the year (with Xenoblade Chronicles earning the second) and is just an overall amazing experience that deserves to be played over and over again.

Multi-Platform Game of the Month:
Mass Effect 3 (Review)
Runner-Up: Street Fighter x Tekken (Review)
Disappointing ending aside, Mass Effect 3 was a great game. It offered a fantastic multiplayer mode and unlike Street Fighter x Tekken, you could actually hear the games sound effects during that multiplayer.

Runner-Up: Mass Effect 3

Was there any doubt that Journey would take the award this month? Getting a 10 is a rare feat for us and Journey will not only be up for Downloadable Game of the Year, but overall Game of the Year as well.
